Updates to the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment from June 2025

Immigration New Zealand has just announced that further updates have been made to the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment (LQEA) and will come into effect from 23 June 2025.

These changes come as part of a wider update the LQEA to ensure it continues to provide a streamlined pathway for applicants who hold overseas qualifications. 

Qualifications from the following countries will be added: 

  • France 

  • Germany 

  • India 

  • Italy 

  • Singapore 

  • South Korea 

  • Sri Lanka 

  • Sweden 

  • Switzerland
